Role Overview:

We’re looking for a talented copywriter and online editor with experience of writing for multiple channels, and a thorough understanding of SEO, to join our busy marketing team. Working in the Publishing and Content department, you’ll be creating engaging content for our members and for those who haven’t yet joined Weight Watchers. You’ll take end-to-end ownership of projects, from ideas through to writing articles, building them in our CMS system, publishing them to our member and visitor websites, and monitoring and analysing their performance. You’ll use keyword research and analytics to proactively recommend content aligned to SEO goals, and then help to write new or edit existing content to meet those goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Writing and editing copy for use in multiple digital channels, including owned websites, app, Social Media and eCRM.
  • Proactively identifying new SEO opportunities for our business in pursuit of organic growth plans to support conversion targets, and bringing those opportunities to life through engaging articles and copywriting.
  • Managing Google Analytics, BrightEdge and Google Search Console from an SEO perspective. Using BrightEdge, share weekly SEO dashboard reporting with highlighted areas of importance and commentary for status and next steps.
  • Leading continuous analysis for on-site enhancements and SEO optimisation of existing content including site audits, page optimisation, backlink/on-site linking strategy.
  • Thinking Global when owning the SEO space for the UK business, pro-actively sharing and collaborating as appropriate and representing the UK market on monthly performance calls.
  • Keeping up-to-date with latest SEO thinking and trends.
  • Monitoring and evaluating search results and search performance across the major search channels

Key Skills/Competencies:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' hands-on experience in, and a thorough understanding of SEO
  • Experience with writing compelling health and wellness copy, adjusting tone of voice according to audience, with an eye for detail
  • A clear communicator, able to quickly build excellent working relationships with stakeholders and internal peers
  • A natural passion for digital marketing and copywriting, and a willingness to develop new skills according to the needs of the business
  • Experience with Excel, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and CMS essential
  • Experience with BrightEdge & Photoshop advantageous
  • Knowledge and understanding in related fields including web analytics, PPC and social media, and experience of working for a Global organisation beneficial
