Overview:                                                                                           

 

Reporting directly to the Advocacy Marketing Manager, and working closely with the Assistant Advocacy Manager, the Assistant Advocacy Content and Design Manager will create highly engaging, original, quality content that aims to entertain, educate, inform and support in pursuit of attracting and retaining members, driving brand awareness, and increasing social engagement and advocacy aligned with broader business and marketing strategies.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the creation of fresh and engaging text, image and video content that positively resonates with our target audiences across social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
  • Assist with Advocacy campaigns, ensuring peak content performance
  • Coordinate with Marketing and PR teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Measure and report content and social/advocacy channel performance
  • Ensure compliance with copyright law and data protection
  • Develop and maintain content calendar and ensure alignment with key stakeholders
  • Run and co-manage the cross-departmental content meetings with the Assistant Advocacy Manager, with input from the Advocacy Marketing Manager
  • As a true social native, stay up-to-date with digital technology trends and tools to generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention and develop expanded brand awareness

 

Key Skills/Competencies:

  • 2+ years proven experience working as a Content Designer, preferably in social media or broader Marketing context.
  • Marketing/Graphics Design degree heavily focused on New Media.
  • Adept in working with creative software/tools such as Adobe Premier, Photoshop and After Effects
  • Experienced in and ability to curate shareable informative content, and create brilliant and engaging content which excites and grabs the attention of our social media communities
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video) in a timely and accurate manner
  • Proven experience of generating positive customer engagement through content
  • Excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in working across multi-disciplinary teams to drive business value and interpret business requirements through the channels
  • Experience of working with/managing agencies and internal stakeholders, and adept at providing and receiving feedback in a clear way
  • Ability to prioritise workload and ensure content is scheduled and published on time
  • Deep understanding and experience of all current major social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and the content formats/ratios required for each channel
  • Prior experience of social media monitoring and listening tools (such as Hootsuite Pro) and social listening tools desired.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting content performance and interpreting customer engagement metrics from social media activity.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to changing market conditions and trends
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to interface collaboratively cross-functionally and relate both upwards and downwards within the organization and with suppliers and agencies
  • A passion for social media technologies with a thirst to develop new skills and knowledge
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics desirable
  • Candidates that operate a blog and/or operate across multiple social networks in a personal capacity are desirable
  • Experience in social media advertising from end-to-end (creative, targeting, reporting and optimisation) desirable
